In Arkadelphia, explore the Iron Mountain Trail System by foot or by bike. Head up Arkansas Scenic Byway 7 to Caddo Valley, the “Gateway to DeGray Lake.” From Glenwood, paddle or float the Caddo River. Just outside Malvern, Lake Catherine State Park offers scenic trails, fishing and a beautiful waterfall worth the short hike. Search for quartz and crystal on your way up to Mount Ida to hear live music from its famed Front Porch Stage. And in Murfreesboro, dig for diamonds and keep any you find at Crater of Diamonds State Park.
